Seafrigo - Elizabeth, NJ

This 170,000-square-foot cold storage warehouse used cutting-edge cold storage insulation design.

In order to expand their food storage and distribution network into North America, Seafrigo Group (Seafrigo) needed a reliable engineer for their first-ever cold storage warehouse in the United States. Food Tech was selected for the project thanks to their international recognition for innovative design-build and refrigeration engineering services.

The 170,000-square-foot warehouse features cutting-edge refrigeration engineering that integrates both French and American design standards. Food Tech provided an advanced CO2 refrigeration central system which helps maintain precise temperature control for the facility’s refrigerated docks, coolers, and freezer zones. Additionally, the facility is strategically located in Elizabeth, NJ, which gives it immediate access to the Newark airport and the New Jersey shipping port – two of North America’s key logistics hubs.

During this project, Food Tech delivered the following:

  • Design-build services
  • Cold storage insulation design featuring a C02 refrigeration central system
  • 34°F refrigerated docks, 34°F cooler zones, and -10°F freezer zones
  • Strategic location at a major logistics hub
  • Corporate office
