Taylor Farms - Chicago, IL
Taylor Farms (Taylor) needed to expand their ready-to-eat (RTE) food process plant and distribution center in Chicago, IL. The expansion required substantial cold storage construction expertise, making Food Tech the obvious choice to lead the design-build project.
Food Tech significantly increased the refrigeration capacity for the fresh-cut produce facility, incorporating advanced industrial refrigeration design throughout. The expanded plant features a state-of-the-art 34°F cooler as well as insulated metal panel construction, which each help Taylor more efficiently keep their products fresh.
The intercity facility also had its on-site parking and truck circulation redesigned to accommodate increased production levels and additional staff, while also improving the flow of materials and vehicles.
